Skinny Sunday 7

So what is Skinny Sunday?

Glen and Cristie are using it to share their progress on their health and weight management. Using Skinny Sunday to keep track of goals achieved or not. They will weigh in and post photos to document their progress each Sunday. Any one wanting some encouragement to lose weight or get into shape is more than welcome to join them!

So how did you go with your sixth week of Skinny Sunday?

Glen says:”Nadda.I for got to ask him!”Cristie says: “I’m bored! The exercise is so monotonous! I’ve been doing an hour everyday on the treadmill. So boring! I was a bit slack with my eating too, not writing what I ate in my diary, I had 2 jam doughnuts during the week and I know I snacked on the wrong things occasionally too.”

What are your weight goals?

Glen says: “To gain weight and get into the 90’s, around 95kgs. I don’t want to be a fat 95. An in shape 95.” Cristie says: “I’d like to get back down into the 70’s. My healthy weight range is between 59 and 71 kgs. So I’ll aim for 70.”

What changes are you going to make?

Glen says: “Start working out. Get some protein drinks and stuff. Eat healthier food.” Cristie says: “Eat lots of fruit, veg, nuts and lean meat mostly chicken. Start doing some exercises like sit ups and push ups. Start running again, well work up to it. Just be healthier and say no to bad food.”

What do you think of your progress?

Glen says:”Zip.” Cristie says: “10 whole kgs? Well I am pleased to say the least! I actually can’t believe I did it. It wasn’t so bad changing my diet and amping up my activity to achieve my goal, the benefits far out weigh anything anyway! I’m looking forward to losing the next 10. “

What changes have you noticed? 

Glen says: *crickets cricking in the silence*  Cristie Says: “I have no want for sugar anymore which is great. I don’t miss chocolate one bit. I can fit into heaps of my clothes again, which has increased my wardrobe! (still nothing to wear, you know what I mean!) I do feel lighter and better looking, I’m not paranoid to whip my thighs out (not in public but at home I’ll wear shorts) I can run around with the kids and not feel bulky like a rhino running them down! “

What do you hope to achieve by next Sunday?

Glen: ???  Cristie: “Again I hope to lose just 1 kg at least. I want to try to kill this boredom I’m feeling, if I don’t I know it will affect if I succeed or not. I’m tempted to have a ‘break’ for a week, which means I want to be slack and do nothing. (I’m telling you now so that if I mention a break from skinny sunday you can abuse me!)

Cristie says:

10 kgs. WOW. Let’s hope the next 10 come off as easily. I doubt it!

An awesome website that I became a member of 2 weeks ago now is called CalorieKing.com I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to lose, gain or maintain their weight.

It has lessons each week to teach you and educate you on everything from why, how and when we eat, how to motivate yourself and keep moving, why people gain and lose weight and all the health benefits involved with both.

It also has a diary which you can record your exercise and diet. If your into counting calories you can type in any, and I mean ANY australian bought food product and it will tell you how many calories are in it. How much fat, carbs and protein to, so you can pick empty calorie foods or rich nutritious stuff to fuel yourself with.

To the beautiful ladies who are playing along at home, I hope your proud of the effort your making, to make time for yourself and your health. It will be the best thing you do for yourself and family in the long run and CONGRATS! to those of you who have lost weight. You know who you are 😉 BIG pats on the back!!!

I’m so proud of you!

Just remember that it is possible and you really are capable of anything.
